"As practice makes perfect, I cannot but make progress; each drawing one makes, each study one paints, is a step forward." --Vincent Van Gogh

Over the past nine years, I have had the privilege of teaching a diverse range of classes in my studio, online, and at various venues. My experience spans teaching drawing, painting, and sculpture to students of all ages, from young children as young as seven to adults in their seventies. Each class has offered me the opportunity to share my passion for the arts while adapting my teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each age group.

Portrait Drawing and Painting

Students learn to understand composition and color and how to translate what they see in life onto a two dimensional image.

Students also learn different watercolor techniques and explore different color mixing techniques.

Papier-mâché sculpting:

I started experimenting with this technique in 2015 and have taught numerous two to three day workshops at my home studio as well as other outside venues including schools such as the American International School, Dhaka (AISD). In these workshops, students learn to transform their ideas into three dimensional stuctures starting from the "armature" stage to adding shape and texture using the paper clay to painting their creations in the end. There is an emphasis to use recycled materials throughout the whole process.
